Henry Seahorse

Running time

A Fazzi Film

Helen Underwood Miller

Summer 1994. Lefki Ora/White Mountains, western Crete. Starring Sam, me and a young cat who befriended us, this very short film tells the story of my childhood friend Henry Seahorse and is about how children intuitively know things that have not been spoken. Filmed hand-held on my lovely old 16 mm Beaulieu camera.

I remember Sam stopping the scooter so that I could re-load the camera in the darkness of an old church. The mirror imagery was the beginning of what was to become a much greater project and become a huge part of our lives. I still have Henry Seahorse.

Selected NewFoundland and Namur International Short Film festivals.
