The Shape of Sleep

Published alongside a limited edition series of 10 colour photographs, The Shape of Sleep records the sleeping places of my two horses.

The ground holds a memory of their heavy sleeping beauty and my camera makes a permanent record of that image. The horses themselves are absent, but what remains is a glimpse of their secret world of sleep, and when I look at the pictures I feel their mystery, their vulnerability, their magnificent existence.
